Skill Editor

Uses

The skill editor is a major part of the game. You can use it to make new skills. The movement system in the skill editor is very easy. Simply click on a part of your creature to be moved, and drag it to where you want it to move.

How to use

To make a new skill, press the record button. Once you have finished dragging the parts to where you want them, press the play button, or press the step button to move forward one moment in time. The creature will then try move the way you wanted it to move, using its own muscle power. When your creature has finished getting into position, press the save button.

Fully Dynamic Skills

Skills are dynamic. This means that you can make your creature perform a skill from any position, and it will adapt. For instance, you can make a skill of a character standing up straight by simply recording the position of standing. Then, if you want to stand up from lying down, sitting down, or crouching in the fetal position, simply activate that skill, and your creature will stand up.

Special Features

The skill editor has many special features. You can use props, you can use scenes, you can even use other players. The skill system can even be used in offline mode, but your creature doesn't get skill experience for it. You can overlay multiple scenes, and you can even go into a 'dream' mode online and gain skill. You can set the force that your creature will use, or you can set the speed.

Example

Imagine you have made a humanoid creature, and you want it to be a warrior. You don't have a sword or an axe, but you've seen one in the shop window. When you walk past the window, you can save the memory of it with the game element sampler. Now you can go into the skill editor and make all kinds of slashing moves with the axe. You can even go into dream mode, and practice your skills.
