In-Game Voice Chat Technology

Massively Multiplayer games at this point primarily use text chat for communicating with other players. They also use simple dialog boxes with clickable options to communicate with NPC's. There are also dedicated voice chat programs that run beside multiplayer games to allow communication, but they are not usually run by everyone, and they are almost never the main form of communication. Many games that do have voice chat often do not make it of very good quality.

VOICE FEATURES
The in-game voice chat system featires a delayed output system that allows for smooth sound output. Sound is mixed based on the distance from other players, and then sent in pieces, with each new moment of sound arriving before the last one was done playing.

TEXT TO VOICE
Some people may choose not to use voice chat, or they may have disabilities, so a text service is also available. For people who are obsessed with voice chat, or perhaps people with a voice translation package, there is also a fully configurable text--voice program that can read text and write down voice chat.
