Making Your Mark

This game is all about variety and originality. If you are a seasoned gamer, you know that a small team of programmers can only create so much. You also may know that players are always asking for more features. The way content gets into the game is another thing that makes it unique.

Life

How the Game Works
When you enter the game, you will notice that your goal is to meet all of your needs well enough to survive and reproduce. You will then be able to take the points and make a new creature, or immediately go into your offspring's DNA and use your new points to add to what you already have. You will then start the process over.

Survival of a Species
What you may not realise is that while you were playing, you were also calibrating your new species' habits. The other offspring that your creature may produce will follow your example by eating what you made your creature eat, and generally doing things you did to survive. If they survive, they will produce their own offspring, and they will continue to exist in the game world for as long as they can survive.

Species Database
There is also an online species database. If your species was original enough (determined automatically), you will find it in this database. You will see a page similar to a real animal biography. It shows the scientific name and the name you gave it, the author name(s) and date, the creature's lifespan, when it is awake, and some other miscellaneous information such as diet and habitat.

The World

The Ecosystem
While you play, you will have the option to make your creature eat plants, other animals, or anything you want. This will impact the ecosystem around you, and possibly end up completely remaking it. For example, plants that your creatures eat may go extinct, or other creatures that they feed upon will migrate away.

The Land
You also have individual power, not just power over the species. You can take manual control and produce extremely intricate works of art. Activities that you do in manual mode will not be added to species activities, so your work of art will be there as a unique marker that you played the game. Feel free to make sculptures, weave baskets, or simply carve your initials into the dirt.
